Empty Nest?
We have been official Empty Nesters "1" for a few years now. We have become accustomed to the quiet and privacy.
Last week our youngest moved home. "Da Kid" just graduated in May and landed a good job here in the Twin Cities. She will be staying with us for a few months as she works out her housing plans. All great and good reasons to move home of course but it is taking some adjusting. Do not get me wrong, it is great having her home but you do get used to having it "your way". Also, lets admit it, the grocery bill just took a BIG jump and the "debris factor" has risen
On the humorous side? I think it bugs her even more *L*

Sometimes, I find myself looking forward to being an empty nester. Unfortunately at the bare minimum, I have 17 more years to go.
Ed, savor it while you can *S* We enjoyed it all, including the "moving on" part
LOL! I am sooo on the count down... sometimes... ;) I really wonder what I will do with myself when my house actually stays clean and I don't have to go grocery shopping for teenagers 3 times a week
The best part is that "it bothers her even more". If she appeared to be back for a long time, you might not be able to laugh and enjoy it!
Thanks for stopping by Mal, been a while, hope you're keeping real well.
LOL. Lots of time for mother-daughter bonding.
hah. i was home for 2 months after school, and my sister is back there for about 3 months after having just graduated, before she moves across the country for her phd. my parents claim to love every second we spend there... but... surely they get as irritated as we do :-)
People always say, "They grow up so fast...enjoy 'em while you can." Lucky you, you're there again.
If you want her to hurry up and leave, let her 'catch' you and your SO having a heavy make-out session on the couch.
She'll be packing up before you can rearrange your bra strap.
yeharr
At least it bothers her more, if it didn't you'd have to make it less accommodating...
