Vanity, Thy Name is.............
It seems of late I have noticed more and deeper wrinkles (OK, OK...for a couple of years !@#$ it!)
This week I have had occasion to wear more makeup, more often than is my normal wont. It really seems silly to slather on the make up just to end up with your wrinkles showing even more prominently. Why do we do it? Darned if I know. It sure seems a lot of effort and money for negative gain.
I have to give the cosmetics companies bonus points. They have had us doing this for over 100 years and we still haven't figured it out!
I have decided I am using this dog as my role model.
WRINKLES ROCK!

Dogs are great role models. Put your faith in dog.
I've never understood why people use makeup. Most women I've met look better without it.
You may have a few more wrinkles, but you have a motorcycle, which brings your HQ up considerably.
Yeharr
It's easier for me to work with unattractive women.
As a 'slightly past my prime'I sort of sympathise.
But the dog is ugly. damn ugly.
James- daaaawwwwwgggggggg *L*
Grant- true to a point. I think it is more in the nature of "war Paint"
BP- *L*
Senor Caiman- dare I ask "why"?
Rich- no argument on the dog
People in ancient Egypt used cosmetics, some of them toxic. Lead based cosmetics are still sometimes used in the Middle East.
I personally refuse to use 'em.
Yeah, I have more wrinkles, too. But, my glasses cover them up. Mostly.
I am not a big makeup fan. Not much into wrinkles either. But I'm more concerned about a hair I found that looks a little gray. I don't dare look at it closely - I keep telling myself it's just a "highlight".
Mal! I hear you! Foundation and powder just accentuate those darn wrinkles.
My best “make-up” tip is to go for a 30 min jog an hour or two before you have to be all dolled up. Gives a super complexion: no make-up needed.
Or if you do the powder thing: if you don’t move your face the wrinkles won’t show. You’ll look good but be boring.
My third tip is to drink heavily and you won’t care about your wrinkles.
Last but not least: show a lot of cleavage: not a single person – man or woman – will notice your face.
(yes: I have tried them all)
Read my post from Saturday about MAC Cosmetics. I'm really impressed. My friend used their base, and looked wrinkle free! As we all know, base usually makes wrinkles stand out even more. :P
I've never trusted an adult who doesn't have laugh lines.
Sadly I will go down fighting :(
